James Meinecke's project work with Phillips Exeter Academy includes the historic renovations of:

- Dunbar Hall  

- Bancroft Hall

- Soule Hall

- Mayer Art Center

- Elm Street Dining Hall

- Phillips Hall

These preservation and renovation projects involved close coordination with the Academy's facilities department, project engineers, and contractors. Most notably, the Phillips Hall project was awarded the AIA NH Award. These projects have been published in The Exeter Bulletin and Architect Magazine.
